Canby PD to Host National Night Out

On Tuesday, August 4th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, neighborhoods throughout Canby are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 26th annual National Night Out Crime/Drug Prevention Event. Neighbors are encouraged to lock their doors, turn on their porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors.

Join a growing number of your neighbors by participating in this event. The National Night Out campaign is an extraordinary way to build neighborhood unity and strengthen police-community partnerships.

Mark your calendars! The Canby Police, Canby Fire Department and Greenbriar Apartments (with special assistance from local businesses and volunteers) are planning two citywide events on Tuesday, August 4th, 2009 at Wait Park and Locust Street Park from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The events will feature free treats, games and prizes for the kids, along with crime prevention literature and chat groups with officials from the police, fire and sheriff's departments.
