CANBY POLICE DEPARTMENT AWARDED RE-ACCREDITATION

The Canby Police Department was recently awarded re-accreditation through the Oregon Accreditation Alliance, which is a joint effort of the Oregon Association Chief of Police, Oregon State Sheriff's Association, and the Oregon Association of Public Safety Communications Officers. Representatives from each organization participate on a Professional Standards Committee, that oversees and administers the state accreditation program.

The Canby Police Department initially joined the Oregon Accreditation Alliance in June 2002 and was awarded initial accreditation in June 2004. The Canby Police Department was in compliance with all applicable standards and approved for the award of re-accreditation, which is awarded at the annual conference banquet of the Oregon Association Chiefs of Police that was held in April of this year.
