Canby Police Department Press Release
August 27, 2007 3:07 AM CANBY POLICE ARREST SUSPECT FOR STRANGULATION, ASSAULT II, AND ASSAULT IV On 8-27-07 at 3:07am, Kenneth V. Fisher IV (AKA: Kenneth V. Schultes) DOB: 3-14-81 of Canby was arrested at 181 NE 5th ave in Canby for Strangulation, Assault II, and Assault IV. The incident occurred when police responded to the location on the report of a disturbance involving an out of control, intoxicated male subject with a knife. When officers arrived they saw fresh blood on the carpet of the apartment and contacted two male victims that had been cut by the suspect. One of the male victims had his right arm cut and the other male victim had been cut on his right arm and neck.
A short time later officers located a female victim, who is wife of the suspect, covered in blood. The victim also had a swollen right eye that was black and blue. Officers reported that the female victim had red marks around her throat. The female victim told officers that the suspect got mad at her because she made a comment about another male. She told officers that the suspect punched her in the face and then pushed her down on a bed and began to choke her with his hands around her throat. The victim told the officers that she eventually passed out. The victim regained consciousness and ran from the apartment, where she fell on her face and was assisted by a neighbor. The suspect was located in the apartment and was arrested. Although there are witnesses to this incident, the two other victims were un-cooperative with the officers on scene and refused to give any statements. All of the victims were treated by Canby Fire Medics at the scene. The suspect, who gave a false name to officers, was lodged at Clackamas County Jail. The case is being referred to the Clackamas County District Attorney's Office.
