SAFETY TIPS FROM THE CANBY POLICE DURING THE CLACKAMAS COUNTY FAIR

Canby Police want individuals and families to have a safe time at the 2007 Clackamas County Fair. Extra officers have been scheduled during fair week to make your attendance at this year's fair safe and fun. Officers will be patrolling on foot inside the fairgrounds.

Officers will also be working DUII enforcement patrols in the evening hours outside the fairgrounds. Canby Police would like to remind you not to drink and drive. Always have a designated driver when you choose to drink.

When parking on the public streets around the fairgrounds, please remember not to park in areas that are posted no parking. Also, please do not block any driveways when parking. The recommended place to park is in one of the designated fairgrounds parking lots.

Traffic can get congested during the fair, so we ask that you obey the traffic laws and be aware of pedestrians.
