August 9th, 2007 03:50 PM JUVENILE SURENO GANG MEMBER ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY II On 8-9-07 at 3:50pm, Canby Police Officers were contacted by a 10 year old Hispanic boy who reported that his bike was taken by three Hispanic males. This was in the area of the Casa Verde Apartments on Township Road. The victim told officers that one of the suspects took the bike by force and said he had a knife and made threats of bodily harm. The two other suspects made verbal threats to the victim while the bike was being taken. Officers located the three juvenile suspects a few blocks away. The 16 year old suspect who took the bike by force admitted to taking the bike from the victim. Officers found a large folding knife in the suspects pocket. This suspect was arrested for Robbery II, which is a Measure 11 crime. He was booked and lodged at Donald E. Long in Portland. The two other suspects, ages 13 and 16, were arrested and charged with Menacing. They were lodged at the Clackamas Juvenile Department. The case is being investigated by the Canby Gang Enforcement Unit as all three suspects are admitted Sureno gang members. The victim in this case is not a gang member.
