May 31, 2007 12:49 AM Canby Police Arrested BRIAN ANDREW FROST for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm On 5-31-07 at 12:49pm Canby Police Arrested BRIAN ANDREW FROST DOB: 8-5-76 for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm during a traffic stop that occurred on Hwy 99E near Territorial Rd in Canby.
Officer Nate DiCenzo stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Hwy 99E near Territorial Rd. During the stop, DiCenzo observed that the driver and passenger appeared to be nervous. Officer Dicenzo noticed that the driver had multiple tattoos, which the driver admitted were gang related. The driver admitted to Officer DiCenzo that he was a member of the Welaz Union Bloods from Hawaii. During the course of the traffic stop Officer DiCenzo located an assault rifle in the backseat of the vehicle. The rifle was wrapped in a large grey blanket. The rifle was a Hi Point Brand 9mm. Officer DiCenzo stated that it appeared as if someone had attempted to rub off the serial number. The weapon was checked through the Law Enforcement Data System and it came back not stolen. Officer DiCenzo also located two 9mm magazines in the glove box of the vehicle. The rifle and the magazines were seized by Officer DiCenzo. The passenger, BRIAN ANDREW FROST, admitted to possessing the rifle. FROST is a convicted felon and cannot legally possess any firearm. FROST was arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail.
